Gay Korean Men Pick Their Favorite Male Celebrities Of The First Half Of 2024

Recently, the results of a poll asking same-sex attracted Korean men about who their favorite male celebrities were in the first half of 2024 were shared online. There were nearly 1,300 votes in the poll, and the nominees ranged from K-Pop idols to actors and athletes.

Here are the superior 10 male celebrities chosen by gay men voting in this poll and what their previous ranking was.

10. Greg Hsu

Actor Greg Hsu received 17 votes (or 1.33% of the total). He previously was ranked 15th, meaning he jumped up five spots.

9. Ha Seok Jin

Actor Ha Seok Jin earned 18 votes (or 1.40% of the total), ranking 9th, just like he did last year.

8. TWS’s Dohoon & Lee Jae Hoon

TWS‘s Dohoon and actor Lee Jae Hoon received 21 votes each (or 1.64% of the total.) This is Dohoon’s first time appearing on this ranking, while Lee Jae Hoon was previously ranked 20th.

7. SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, Seo Kang Joon, & TWS’s Shinyu

Oh I don't play this game. It's workable he's just a straight up excel actor. Has more empathy for the queer experience. Is slightly kinky so gets masculine submission better. Or he's just good at telegraphing something specific that you personally identify with in body language or facial expression.

In my experience, act to convey affinity is largely a matter of social and cultural comfort and body autonomy. The actor has to feel relaxed in his have skin.

He went on to add that they are both introverts so when they connected the vibe was unusual. He further added, "It's correct that we've become very cozy with each other, and that childhood friend vibe came through."

Certain male celebrities possess garnered immense popularity and admiration from gay men in South Korea and here are the top 10 male celebrities.

On January 13th, a survey result asking lgbtq+ Korean men to vote on their favorite Korean male celebrities was announced. 414 gay men participated in the voting during the month of December 2023 on Twitter and a Korean online same-sex attracted community. 


At number 1 were actors Son Suk Ku and Jung Hae In, earning 2.91% of the total votes with 52 votes. 

In second place was performer Nam Joo Hyuk, followed by thespian Lee Jun Hyuk and Judoka-athlete An Changrim.

Actors Wi Ha Jun and Lee Jin Wook took fifth place with 2.18% of the total votes with 39 votes. 

Volleyball player Lim Sung Jin took sixth place, followed by Cha Eun Woo

ZEROBASEONE's Han Yujin took 8th place, followed by thespian Ha Seok Jin and Seventeen's Mingyu
