Queer history is full of groups and individuals that took a stand against injustices, fought to adjust discriminatory laws, advocated for acceptance, and spoke out for those who might otherwise remain marginalized. Studying this history can inspire and educate us as we face continuing challenges in culture such as homophobia, transphobia, attacks on women’s rights, and a willingness to eliminate any note of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Archives of Sexuality and Gender: Community and Persona in North America (ASG VI) offers interesting perspectives on society, sexual persona, community building, and gender issues. It presents a history of North American society with materials that cover movement, social justice issues, disabilities, women’s rights, alternative sexualities, sexuality and religion, and ethnic communities. The collections detail how identities developed in different social conditions, and how communities grew around committed, sometimes courageous, individuals and organized groups.

Gay sex verdict: ASG questions SC’s ‘double standards’

Shortly after his statement, the home ministry distanced itself from the statement, saying it had not taken any stay on the Delhi Lofty Court order decriminalizing homosexuality.
Members of the lesbian, same-sex attracted, bi-sexual and transgender (LGBT) community and supporters state that they are deeply hurt by what Malhotra said.
“It’s bigotry. The ASG, who made such provocative comments against the sexual minorities in the Supreme Court must be sacked,” says advertising guru Prahlad Kakkar.
Gay rights activists say the ministry’s face-saving statement will not undo the damage. “The ASG’s statement was unconstitutional. He vented his hatred in front of the Supreme Court, misusing
